Swimming in the sea and the pump

Hia everyone, glad to say that it's just over a week since I've been off the antibiotics and stomach and sugars are back to normal so the holiday to Greece next week is on - pheww.
Just a question on swimming in the sea - is this ok if you take the pump off and put the cap on? My slight concern is over the salt and whether or not it will crystallise? Just wondering if there are pumpers out there who have experience of sea swimming. I'll obviously wash down with clean water when I get out so hopefully this will be fine. The beaches are mostly shingle beaches so sand is not such an issue. Thanks for all your advice and support over the last few weeks :thumbup:

I did that for a couple of days by the sea last month. I also do that everyday when swimming in a salt (though not as salty as the sea!) water pool with no problem.

It was sandy and I was a bit worried about that; I put the pump in the leather cover, I normally use for gardening whilst on the beach and then in a rucksack whilst swimming. It wasn't that hot, I think that if it had been then I would have been more concerned about it getting overheated in my bag. I was a bit worried about security, there were 4 adults and 3 children but there were times when we were all in the sea together.
 
Thanks. Those magic few words - stop worrying. The root of a lot of my problems I think. I'm sure I will enjoy the hols though
