If she is on a pump,you can have different ratios at different times of the day/ on different days, but if there is absoloutly no consistant pattern then talk to a diabetes nurse... they'll provide more insight than me based on specific details. You can see if background insulin is right by doing a no carb day (ie only eating meat, veg, egg, cheese etc) then measuring bloodsugar levels. You can then change background at different times of the day if neccessary.... whilst it can be very erratic, chances are that because hormones are starting to kick it, you just need a slight change in routine regarding diabetes, maybe with ratios or eating times, or anything else. This may be hard at first, but is achievable, with help ect.
