Type 1 Switching insulin

Hi @Type1Daisyx, I would say yes, use the novorapid if that's all you have, the wrong insulin is certainly better than no insulin.
You might be able to get an emergency supply of fiasp from an open pharmacy (I don't use fiasp so I don't know if all pharmacies always have it in stock), some pharmacies will be open but may not be the closest/most convenient ones to you, might be worth a google? I know in my area there are a few Boots pharmacies open tomorrow.
Personally I'd use the novorapid and get some more fiasp when you can.

Is the Novorapid kept in the fridge and still within date?
If yes, no problem, it just works a little slower than Fiasp.

If no, it might not work as well so keep a very close eye on your numbers.
If it has gone cloudy, don't use.

No problem switching between Fiasp and NovRapid.
I have Fiasp in my pump with NovoRapid and Lantus as my back up insulins in case of pump failure. It doesn't happen often but I am fine switching.

You obviously switched one way recently and, if Fiasp had not worked for you, you would have switched back.

Given the cost of insulin and the state of the NHS finances, I am surprised you were not encouraged to use up your NovoRapid before switching. I was given strict instructions to do so when I switched the insulin I use in my pump.
