I have been having a lot of hypo's lately one where I ended up unconscious in hospital. Diabetes specialist nurse has decided to swap me to Tresiba from Levemir in the hope it will give me beter control, was just wondering how others out there find tresiba and if it does actually last 24hours.

Hi Clarey123, i've been on tresiba for quite some time now and find it better than levemir. Heres why: more convenient as it requires only one injection (for me a little less than the combined amount of my former levemir injections), much less night time hypos, i may still go down quite low but nothing like on levenir and certainly not to dangerous levels. It lasts more than 24 hours, it can last up to 40 hours which you have to take into consideration if you adjust your dose as it may not show the first day.
