Over the last couple of summers I have suffered from painful swollen ankles. Does anyone have a remedy as I do not suffer with diabetic feet?
Would appreciate any comments. Thanks
I take diuretics too, no effect on my BG levels. Not sure who said that it masks a problem but thbry are talking out of their hate lol. It prevents and treats the problem.
Debs, can I ask if you are significantly overweight? If so, swollen ankles are a common problem. My feet and ankles are swollen at the moment, the cause is sitting in front of the PC with my feet tucked under the chair - it can be as simple as that!
You should probably consult a qualified professional - it's a symptom that could be caused by a more serious underlying problem. Please don't take medical advice from 'some-one on the internet' - I'm sure that's heard a lot in A&E departments all over.
One thing that used to annoy me with swollen ankles was the elasticated tops on socks would cause painful ridges within the swollen area or just above,in the end the only thing I could do was take a pair of scissors to my socks and make a cut through the elasticated area.
