T1 travelling to Maldives via Dubai

I'm lucky to be taking the above trip in Feb.

I was diagnosed in May and had a successful summer break in Spain - taking extra supplies, frio wallets and the Dr letter etc.

Obviously this is a long distance trip with Maldives being more remote but I'd love to hear any thoughts and suggestions.

No advice on the medical side but wow you're in for a treat! Which island are you going to?
On the holiday side if you like snorkeling buy your own mark before you go from a specialist shop, guarantees no leaks which makes the whole experience much more enjoyable.
The staff are always very obliging so if you need any extra help just ask.

Any advice on the maldives just ask I love it there!
 
OH has just retired and it's on his bucket list. We are going to Cinnamon Island - an Over water suite too!

Thanks for confirming the mask thing. I've heard it's expensive to hire. Well probably just swim on the surface with them lol.
 
Oh sleeping in a water villa is amazing, I'm very jealous!

Apparently they are a lot easier than normal masks, they give measuring instructions online.
Honestly you can't go all that way and not snorkel, it is magical looking at tropical ref!
 
I'd have to check the fish out... not always keen on them around me lol. OH lives fish and used to keep marine tanks. So I will tell him. Would snorkelling use a lot of energy- thinking of hypos which I'm a bit prone to
