I was diagnosed in January 2015 with a reading of 117 was put on metformin 500mg twice a day 3 month review got reading down to 58. Had my annual review and reading jumped back up to 100. Doctor increased my metformin to 1000 twice a day and due to having protein in my urine added ramipril. Gave me a meter asked me to test over 4 weeks and then see him again.
On Friday we discussed my readings and I have now been put onto glicazide 40mg once a day and I am now being referred to the diabetic clinic at my local hospital as he feels I might have Mody rather than type 2 due to having kidney damage quite early and that my BMI is 25.
Does anyone know about Mody?
