Taken of Metformin

I been on slow release metformin 1000mg twice a day but for best part of 3 years has really bad gut and gas problems Dr said not metformin Nurse said not metformin fast forward nearly 3 years new doctors spoke to him and straight away its metformin I am on Linagliptin 5mg and Dapagliflozin 10mg now he took me off metformin and Dapagliflozin and replaced with Canagliflozin 100mg to start with is it better than metformin.

Yes I am T2 I have adjusted my diet eat very little

Keep on at them think a lot to do with keeping people on metformin is the cost of the medication I had 3 years of hell and only for my doctor retiring would still be on metformin good luck
