Fascinating study. But it would be better if BP meds were effective throughout the 24 hour cycle so that BP did not increase during it. Failing that, I'd like to see this study's findings lead to a change in the dose timing that is advised in the prescribing info and by prescribers.
Maybe I should ask for a 24 hour BP test to make sure my level is not increasing while I sleep. Or I could just check with my GP and start taking it at night time. Then, if my BP rises towards the end of the 24 hours, it would be picked up in the usual testing I have. IIRC, drugs are generally better absorbed at night and the reason I take some of mine in the morning is to avoid insomnia effects where relevant. Maybe I should ask about moving more of them to night time. So much to ponder.
