Taking insulin and needles aboad

Though it might not be 100% necessary to travel abroad, it's always best to get a note from your doctor just in case any questions are asked.

As Giverny says it's best to carry a letter from your gp or consultant to say that your diabetic and need to carry insulin supplies such as needles.

Just remember also to take a copy of your repeat prescription with you in case you need urgent supplies whilst over there, this way you can produce it to a Dr or pharmacy in the event your insulin supplies get lost, stolen or your insulin spoils. It's also a good idea to split supplies up between yourself and a travelling partner, should one bag go astray then you still have enough to see you through until you get another prescription.
