Hi all, I am having blood tests to see if I am diabetic (developed a yeast infection). However, I have only just tested negative after a week with covid ( fairly mild symptoms). I have read Covid can increase glucose levels so I am worried about getting a false positive result.
I dont know whether yo delay the test and if so how long for. Or just to go for the tests
Anyone experienced a covid induced rise. If so how long did last
Sorry for the ramble but I get myself pretty anxious
Thank you

The hba1c test is an average of 3 months levels. While covid might impact it a little, it shouldn't be be by a huge amount.

usually if the a1c result is close to the diabetic line, they would do a second test to confirm it anyway.

Personally, with covid I was low for the first 2 days and raised for about the next 7 days.

For me, yes but I wasn't on the full insulin regime I needed to be on at this point so I'm not a good example here for numbers
