Testing

In an ideal world, on waking (and depending on how soon afterwards you have brekky), before and after every meal - at least until you can be reasonably certain what various foods are doing to you in terms of the rise in your blood glucose.

Once you have that information then you might feel comfortable testing less often. But ultimately, it's what ever YOU feel comfortable with.
