Oh heck, here's me having to apologize again for taking too long to reply.
It truly doesn't mean I don't appreciate you taking the time to reply.
I do.

My year was the year of D Day and the ensuing invasion of Normandy.
What a tragic loss of life....
2,500 Americans and 3,000 other Allied troops died on D-Day.
More than 19,000 civilians in Normandy also died in Allied bombing
before and after D-Day to soften up German defences.
And Allied air forces lost nearly 12,000.
(Depending where you look)

And the killing still continues, what an utter mess of life is created
by so-called human beings.
