The effects of having both ifg and igt

I am reading online that people with both ifg and igt have higher risks to develop into d in the future. Can anyone share some information on this issue.
 
I dont want to sound a broken tape recorder. I have read a lot of medical articles online that group IFG/IGT a higher risk group. It said this group of people has a lot 10 to 14% annual risk of getting D. However, it seems some nations, such as Australia and England only group prediabetes into IFG and IGT. Dose anyone can share more insights to me
