I can't agree with you. Sadly, like you, I will never be diabetes free but then I am a very atypical T2 and was probably diabetic for many years but had no idea I was. It came as a bolt from the blue to me. I was a healthy weight but after cutting the carbs I lost nearly 2 stone in weight which leaves me verging on the "critically underweight" so although I would love to try the diet and and see if I could reduce my diabetes I have no weight to lose. I know exercise helps with my glucose levels but I have my first hip replacement in August and will need the other one done after that so much exercise is out of the question at the moment as it is too painful to do much.
Be interested to hear if it has inspired others to give it a try.
