The importance of checking again if the results look weird

I checked randomly...3.6 (64.8 mg/dl). The tester goes red.
WHAT!
It's never gone that low. But I didn't give it enough blood and then it tried again and I feel like I skewed it.
Checked again in 1 minute...5.0 (90.0) and then again 5.1 (91.8)
Phew

I need to get better 'bout pricking my finger.
