The SCREAM thread

Back in January Ron went to see a dermatologist who told him he would need a follow up in three months time . So yesterday he phoned only to be told he had been discharged . When asked why they had to phone him back as didn't know . So about an hour later they phoned to say that where Ron had gone before they weren't taking anymore patience and that our gp surgery had been notified back in March , to make alternative arrangements . Yet nothing had been put on Ron's medical records . That on top of been given the wrongs meds . Makes you want to scream.

Scream at the top of your voice.....in the middle of the GPS surgery......

Stupefying levels of incompetence....... sending you both hugs xx

Darling man, so sorry for your woes. You are looking after so many things at the moment, and \I admire you for putting Mrs h-c first when it comes to your FIL situation. It's very difficult. I sympathise. Please don't forget to look out for yourself too. You also count... Big fat (gentle hugs to you).

You are so sweet Cally.....even in rant & scream mode you're thinking of other people
Hmm, not so nice today, I had to send Andy to feed the meter in the car park today, steam was coming out of his ears. Without going into boring detail. We're trying to get the bank to lift a security block from his mum's account. She's in a home, the branch manager has visited her and is satisfied she is who she is, but he's gone off sick and for some reason the security unit need to speak to him again before they let the account go live again!!! We appreciate they can't give account detail to us. We just want the stop lifted so she can write cheques to the care home and one to her great grand daughter who is 2 at the end of May!!! So again!! ARRGGGHHHH!!

This is dreadful!! I'm not clear on the way this should be escalated, but is the GP aware of her "attitude" with you? Goodness it must be tough keeping your temper. Hugs to you
This all started with a phone call Ron made to the surgery about the change in his medication from the hospital pain clinic . You see the clinic don't dish out the meds they write to your gp and you get them from gp. With the cyber hacking our surgery has been affected. He was asked to bring in the letter he had from the hospital and then they could show his doctor and get him the right meds . So when we arrived he showed the receptionist the letter and she said we'll your pain killers are at the pharmacy , I said yes but there the wrong ones they need to be modified release not the normal ones . Her response was well it's only a request so you'll have to make do with what he's been given. I said no we need these ones . Her reply after more arguing was well your have to make an appointment to see the doctor . Aaaahhhhh. I wanted to pull her hair out .

How did you leave it? I think I would have been tempted to just stay there....
