The SCREAM thread

I agree - the dates are a waste of time and are only there to cover the manufacturers' backs.
I do look for the longest dates when I'm shopping, but I don't take any notice of the 'use by' dates when I get it home. My eyes and my nose are FAR more reliable!
My kids waste such a lot of food, though. They treat the dates as totally non-negotiable and it drives me nuts. They even throw away perfectly good food out of MY fridge and try and give me the lecture!

App won't let me reply directly. I treat Use By dates as a guide....I was born and first married before they came in. A yoghurt at co-op once was obviously off, the carton lid had blown almost fit to burst. It was well within its sell by, never mind use by date
Www aporovedfood.co.UK.
They sell short dated or beyond their best before dates. Get lots of bargains but avert your eyes from the crisps and chocolate .... They are campaigning for less waste

Screaming because my legs and feet are giving me jip and my sugars are in the bloomin 20's fassen rassen

Mayb that's where the infection is. Caught early this time. Have you had your extra dose amitriptyline? Just taken mine

Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhhh
Soooooo blooming CLUMSY this morning....I often am but it's bugging me today
AND the "likes" still aren't there despite App having (grr, now I can't think of word) updated? this morning AND we've got blooming ADVERTS again.....
At least my coat dried overnight under the tree despite rain but it has got a small patch of "luck" on it

Yep, but fortunately just one small one.. I mean if I WILL peg out directly beneath the birdie high rise hotel
I have the same problem with my car, which I park under a tree at the front of my house. And I always think to myself, "What a CHEEK, after I've been feeding you for all these years!"

Ah, you've been feeding them TOO well

So I just have to rant. More of a why the hell did I do that type. So I was running late this morning. I had my blood taken for my first check up since being diagnosed. The whole thing took longer then I wanted so I was a bit late to get to the office. Well I was also famished from fasting for 12 hours and I had a light supper the night before. All of this and some weak will made me stop at McDonald's for a egg mcmuffin and a milk. My fasting blood sugars this morning at my blood taking was 6.3 already. Two hours later they are at 8.8. Had celery for lunch (two stocks). Then a chicken breast for supper with a salad. That meal I started at 7.8. Two hours later I'm back up to 8.3. I only had oil and vinegar on my lettuce and spinach and the breast was baked with salt and pepper. It's now 9:30 here I'm still over an 8. Man I'm ****** at my self. I didn't do my 30 min walk today so I'm sure that's not helping.

Not feeling down and out. I know I can get my numbers back to the 5-6 again. Just kinda pisses me off that I can't even have a quick bite out any more.

I have had it with my Drs surgery! They forced me to waste their time by refusing to put something on repeat when I asked by letter, now they've not put something on my prescription that they've issued before! Gah! I can't get through in the mornings to make appointments either! Meh! Sorry I just need to rant as I very cross about it all!

I'd feel the same .... My previous painkillers they never gave more than two weeks at a time. To see the doc I want I have to wait 3 weeks usually

@satkins I'm thinking the stress you have yourself by beating yourself up about eating the mcmuffin and milkshake are probs what put your bs up for the rest of the day cos from what you said you ate ok after that.
Hope today has gone better

@Sable_Jan Thanks for the encouragement. I would like to say the stress level is lower but it's just going up up up! Today I got hauled on to the carpet because I haven't been labelling my filing properly. Didn't occur to them that I've been doing this way for almost 3.5 years and nobody told me differently. Then in the middle of being "talked to" my main server came crashing down. Now I've spent the last 5 hours getting everyone on to the backup machine and after getting the old server back up getting any changed files over that didn't already sync. They all get to go to a co-workers birthday lunch and I'm stuck here trying to fix the server. I haven't check my BG today. I just don't want to stress over it right now. I'm trying to take a few minutes to my self to decompress before jumping in to the deep end again. Thanks for letting me rant.

Hey, rant away. We need an outlet sometimes. Major chaos when main servers go down.....especially if you're in the driving seat/firing line for fixing them....
One upside.....you got to avoid the birthday cake
without needing any willpower

I'd throw the term "custom & practice" in if they start on about file names again. After 3.5 years your method is well established.....I'd say add "so there!" too but that might be taking it too far

.... also, if your manager has only just noticed this, then I can't help feeling that s/he isn't doing their job properly, and it's them who ought to be facing a telling-off......
