Third party apps for Freestyle Libre

I've been using DiaBox for years and used to be very happy with it. Not so much anymore since the latest update so I'm looking for something else.
The main features I want in an app are:

- Possibility to calibrate.
- Possibility to set high/low alarms on different levels: High and very high, and low and very low.

Which apps have you used and what are the things you like/dislike about them?

Tagging @Jaylee , you're more tech savvy than I am and I know you've tried various apps over the years.

I don’t tend to need to calibrate.

You could try xDrip. Similar features to Diabox.
But I use “GlucoDataHandler” to hijack from Librelink to send to xDrip.

There is also Juggluco. Bit more of a faff when starting a new sensor in the sense you need to scan again in the app after Librelink..

All apps mentioned can also send to a smartwatch with the complimentary wear app installed?
The Juggluco wear app for watch will also take a feed directly from the Libre should you wish to ditch the phone & monitor on an appropriate watch for swimming…

Cross that bridge with a watch should you decide to take the plunge?

Take a plunge from a bridge with a watch showing my BG sounds pretty much perfect!

I'll have a try with Juggluco if I can find it and see if I can get along with it.
xDrip with GlucoDataHandler sounds rather complicated. I'll need to find and download two different apps and make them work together?

I can't get along with Juggluco, so now I have downloaded GlucoDataHandler as well. Which apparently can't get its data directly from the sensor or LibreLink, so I've reinstalled Juggluco and I get my BG through both now.

I can't find the possibility to calibrate in GDH so I suppose I'll have to have a go with xDrip as well...

I love that this technology exists, not so much trying to get the hang of it.
 

Ouch.. I Got that wrong.

it’s so long since I set this up & explored the best options to set this up with my watch through trial & error. (When my old phone went down & I needed to change device.)

GDH actually grabs data from Juggluco as a go between for xDrip. It’s a little like the OOP2 apk which is meant to grab from Librelink. (which my phone never got on with. Unreliable.)
GDH has some other features that work well with my watch too.
No, I couldn’t find a way to calibrate it in the menu/settings either..

lol, I literally have 4 CGM apps running on my phone. Galaxy Note 20 ultra.)
LL, GDH, Jugg & xDrip.

A lot of this convolution for me is regarding easy to read simple complications on the watch wear OS?
Most of it just runs in the background. The alarms are just a rattle on my wrist.

I have to admit Diabox was starting to get flakey for me on the last phone. Which is a shame.

I installed OOP2 and now I have no clue at all what stuff I should select to make it work.
It asks if I want to start a new sensor, but this sensor is already started and I don't want to accidentally fry it if I do something wrong.
It also want me to choose a hardware source, but there are 5 different ones for Libre, how am I supposed to know which one to choose?

I wish apps came with an A-Z user manual and I'm about ready to throw my phone out of the window from the bridge.
I never feel more stupid than when trying to work out how my phone works.

 
Try in juggluco. Settings then exchange data.
& try this setting?

 
Mine is set on 640G/EverSense?

Scrolling through my settings in the app.

Do you need to do anything (like an nfc scan or something) to connect a new sensor to xDrip or does it connect automatically once you have the settings correct?

I NFC scan Juggluco. When starting the sensor in Juggluco it give the option to put the end date in the phones or outlook diary.
What it does oddly do is give the sensor 16 days instead of 15. lol, so you might need to adjust the date?
But to be fair, librelink gives a count down & a 3 day heads up in notifications anyway.
I had swapped phones halfway through a sensor so you should have no issue with an existing one.

XDrip should pick up from there…
XDrip is also where I scan my NFC pen it should omit the priming dose.

An NFC scan is required.

From memory, Xdrip did not start/initialise new sensors so you had to use LibreLink to start a new sensor, but once that was done and the 60 minute countdown had expired, you were supposed to kill LibreLink and then switch to xdrip and do a NFC scan to get xdrip to start using the new sensor.

I finally found a newer version of DiaBox, and this one does work with my sensor.
Long may it last, I now know what a nightmare it is to get a new system to work if you know as little about tech stuff as I do.

Good news.
Is it still the “GOD MODE” cheat code to get Diabox to calibrate?

I have to admit on the aforementioned apps I use on my phone there are settings I found that make no sense to work with my watch.
 
Still GODMODE, no space.

I think I even saw something about a watch in the menu but I had an overdose of tech yesterday so I haven't really looked past my settings and starting calibration.
I don't have a smartwatch anyway and I'm not at all sure I want one.

Been a long time… it was a great app.

I tried getting Diabox to work with my old Watlaa one watch? But it wouldn't play.. the Bubblan mini bridge stopped reading the newer Libres too? (From memory even before the L2+.)
I just hit a “wall.”

Found a cheap new boxed base model. (because there have been 2 maybe 3 now 4 later models since.) 2020 or 2019 galaxy watch 4 after some research. Doddle setting that up. But it’s still getting wear OS support updates.
Hence the “roundabout zoo” with all the CGM apps?

The watch. With the work I do. More professional glancing a watch for BGs than pulling out a phone.
