Type of diabetes

I have generally well controlled BS and all of a sudden in the last few days feeling very thirsty. Just checked and 6.4. Any other ideas why this may be happening? Feeling dreadful
 
If your feeling rough remember to check your Ketone levels and maybe if you continue feeling sick give your doc a call - couldn't do any harm...

How do you check your keytone levels?

Hi eveshamgal,

There are test strips that you dip in urine to check ketones, ask your diabetic nurse or GP for some!

Interesting....... That's not how I do it! My meter tests ketones for me. I pop a purple strip in (my BG ones are blue) and just test as normal. I didn't realise there was any other way!
