M Muroolok Newbie Messages 3 Mar 8, 2012 #1 Help - confused! Diagnosed in November with type 2, and told to try diet. Had my 3 month blood check and Doctor told me he's pleased; my result is 43 which is in the normal band. 48 would be too high? This doesn't seem to fit in with everyone else's scale of score; sort of 5 to 15? So now I'm confused - can anyone shed some light? :? D

Mar 8, 2012 #2 43 is being expressed in the new measurement system called IFCC HbA1c. In the old system it would be 6.1% which is a great result so well done :clap:
