Any late onset type 1’s ever been bitten by a tick prior to their diagnosis? ASKING FOR A FRIEND.

No......but come summertime if anyone is going to be bitten by any form of flying, blood sucking, germ spreading, sugar seeking life form then it'll be me before anyone else.
Mosquito repellent is nowadays a top priority..

Is your friend a dog?????????

I have never had a Tick, but our old dog has picked up a couple.

I have been bitten by a Centipede that hurt like #@$& though for a couple of days.

I had a tick bite last November and was diagnosed in December. Not saying there’s a connection but just throwing it out there. If 5 people came back saying YES then it’d be worth looking into!
Had another bite yesterday.

Not a tick, but I was bitten by an adder (It's 'leave me alone' bite rather than 'lunch!' bite) not too long before developing T1... Not sure which was worse, the bite or the antibiotics!

Shiba.
