Tingling Feet

Hi,
I’m a type 2 diabetic why do I get tingling feet ( only when I’m lying down)

Is there anything I can do or take to remedy this ?
 
I used to get pins and needles way back before I was diagnosed. GP said it was some kind of carpal tunnel as I had and still get that in my hands if too much salt in diet. Other than that I am not sure but hope it eases for you
