Tinnitus and Diabetes

Pasta, sorry to me it's vile, yeuch lol (and full of nasty carbs)
Is there a connection between tinnitus and diabetes? I've had it for years now but kinda am used to it. In the last 6 months it has got worse and the high pitched noises are there whilst having a conversation or listening to radio etc. Ta for any help

I have 3 different tinitus and I am very dizzy, probably the tinitus is the problem and yes they are getting worse..
 
I developed tinnitus following a very bad ear infection. I do notice when my blood sugars are high the ringing is worse, louder. When I am low in blood sugar it's like an onboard alarm lol The biggest factor I've found for making it worse though is stress!

Re the dizziness, what's wrong with your middle ear? That's usually the cause of dizziness. I have had these spells and an anti emetic called Stemetil stops it for me.

 
The problem for me is that after I eat I get really sleepy And tired. I am dizzy no matter my blood sugar levels.

Have you seen an ENT specialist tibi ?
 
Sorry to hear of all your noise problems, I have had the odd 'noise' got up in the middle of the night to find out where this funny noise was coming from, last place, downstairs loo and then it clicked, it was actually me.!!
My son has recently been diagnosed with Tinnitus and my friends grown up son as well, both non diabetic though, also my son diagnosed with with Ticks as well, it would appear to be a male dominated condition :-(
It must be absolutely unbearable at times, so sorry :-(

I was put on a blood pressure med (Amplodipine) which has ringing in the ears as a possible adverse side effect. I looked it up because my TV had this annoying noise on it and it was still there when I put my fingers in my ears.

Of course, now that my attention has been brought to it I don't suppose it will go away quickly.

Have you checked for side effects in that bit of paper that comes with the packets of pills?

Yes I've even made a cerbral RMN and everything looked in order.

My life is true hell, urinate all the time lost a lot of weight, lost my job and wife all this in two months since diagnosis, the doctor said I have prediabetes because I failed the glucose test at two hours it was 189 mg/ml.

After I eat my hart start to race and it puts me to bed after that I am so dizzy and confused, sleep and tired that I can bearly go to the bathroom.

Is incredible what is happening to me and the doctor said that I am depressed, well hell how not to be depressed if I eat an apple is like I take poison and my glucose spikes to 160 mg/ml.

The doctor sent me home with a diabetic diet no treatment.

I am afraid to eat anything at this point and I am so miserable that I am sick to think tomorrow I will see a new day.

I have no idea how to live with disease, and is killing even my spirit. I don't recognize my self anymore, I am a shadow of what I used to be and all this happened in two months...

Sorry for the negativism.
 
Been there tibi, glugging litres of water and peeing all day and night. Dizziness will surely add a lot of stress and with losing your job things must feel drastic. I empathize a lot with you but when you get your diabetes under control things can only improve.
 
Thank you Eddie for the support but I am too down right now. Tomorrow I will start a anti insuline resistance program, I hope it will work out, it is my last hope.

Tibi start a no/low carb diet within a couple of days you will feel better no high bloods and eat as much meat as you like i have been through most of the things you have and more in my life been suffering depression over 30 years cant help with the ear problems as mine only started about a month ago driving me mad but luckily my second wife of 25 years understands me and supports me when i am low keep your chin up
 
I hope she is feeling better, hope she updates us soon.
 
The same. Still urinating all the time. My doctor said that if I don't go over 200 mg/ml is ok....

Frankly at this time I have no idea what to do anymore and I am so tired and depressed...
 
I remember my hyperglycemia days well, several HI and a 30.5 mmol/l nearly melted my meter. Depression and diabetes go hand in hand, there is a strong link between them. Your sugars will come down but alas this requires patience and it will get better, take it from me I've been there. Good luck!
 
Thank you Eddie I really appreciate your support. I hope it will get better. I am doing everything I can but it seam as an impossible task at this point.

The worse of all 8s the dizzy part and confusion.
