I am flying to Australia and New Zealand in a couple of weeks and wondered if anyone has tips for coping with the long flight. I hate flying!!! It will be the first time I've flown since starting on insulin, so an added thing to worry about! I normally survive on Rescue Remedy, but am worried this might spike my blood sugars.
I am on Novomix30 at the moment, so have informed the airline, got my frio bag, sharps box and letter from doctor.
Can I expect my blood sugar to be higher or lower? I take 2 injections per day at the moment and am a bit worried as to when to inject due to time differences etc. And how to cope with the jet lag!
Any tips welcomed, thanks.
