I was diagnosed in Feb 2011 with type 2. I was managed on diet only for a while and although it was well controlled (in the morning before food or drink approx 5.8 - 6.0 rarely any higher. I have what my doctor describes as Daibetic Neuropathy in my legs and feet and this is quite severe. My problem is that i also have lower back probs and the doctors are not sure whether this is part of the problem. I am seeing 2 nuerologists in November one for my back the other to deal with the neuropathy. My worry is that lately i am not able to walk far at all without pain, also i am awake a lot at night rubbing one foot with the other to get some relief. I get up early as i can't stay in bed any longer because i ache and as soon as i get up i turn the News on and i fall asleep, this occurs several times a day. When i wake up it's like i have a hangover. Anyone any idea, or recognise the symptoms? I'm 63 yrs old. :?
