Hi all, after a little advice, and to see if anyone else has seen the same.
A little history first
I was diagnosed with having diabetes in my 30s. Device they used came back too high to register. Later a blood test came back in the 50s
Considering my age Dr 'assumed' T2D.
Gave me metformin. I collapsed, within a few hours. Rushed to ER, and Dr changed diagnose changed to T1D and insulin.
15yrs later, still on insulin, levels are steady but higher than I'd like, range between 7-9.
Someone suggested I try TMG, for other medical condition. Been on a low dose of TMG for about 2 weeks. Noticed raise in lower BG levels 3-5. I've cut my insulin down, from LA 40 to 20. And also reduced QA with food.
Sort of it, for the past few days I've taken 20LA (Lantus) and ZERO QA (novorapid).
Levels are steady between 6-8!
Haven't changed my diet, diet has always been good.
I know one of the side effects of TMG is less insulin resistance, but this seems to be a big change!
Other than the standard blood tests, I've never been tested for C-peptide / Islet Autoantibodies.
Do you think I was misdiagnosed, or its just a flok for a few days (it has only been a few days, so quite early) and will return to having to inject.
