I have not experienced this myself, but looking at Britannica it is a response to an allergic infection caused by the injection of an antigen, Can trigger anaphylactic shock which would need emergency treatment. Probably just be sore for a while then clear up by itself (bit like paper cut) but keep an eye on it. Suggest in future using surgical wipes to clean the site before injecting or fingerprick testing since it is a sign of sensitivity to something that was contaminating the finger. You may find further info if you google wheal and flare.I it normal I'm really concerned now because it really hurt .
Did you use the pad of your finger? Don't! use the side but not right by the nail. I bruise really easily and sometimes bruise after doing a test, also it sometimes hurts. I have pea princess syndrome (joke).Thank you for the replies . It's a blue area just below where i pricked my finger . No pain now but its still there . I will keep an eye on it .
