Tooth implants

Has anyone here had one or more successful tooth implants?
I see that a lot of clinics are not keen to do them on people with Diabetes. I have several missing teeth but no gum disease as far as I know. I would love to have a couple of implants to fill the gaps. Of course I know its a pretty costly procedure.

I would be very interested to hear of others experiences.
 
Hi. I knocked one of mine out and chipped another after falling of a horse. I had the work done with absolutely no bother whatsoever. I had to fast for a few hours before and after and this was the only small area of concern but it wasn't a problem at all. Hope you get it sorted.

One thing I would say, if I were you I'd want to find out why I had lost so many teeth before spending hundreds of even thousands on tooth implants. Just a thought.

I think a lot of it goes back to bad dentistry when I was a child So I had lots of huge fillings and then several abcesses as an adult. The tooth I am having problems with now needs expensive root canal treatment by a specialist, followed by a crown as it is mostly filling and not much tooth left. So I am wondering whether to have it taken out anf fill up 3 gaps with implants.

All of my problems date from when my diabetes was less in control than it is now.

Seems so ironic that you now have to pay out hundreds of pounds to a dentist to fix issues that were caused by bad dentistry!

I hope you get it sorted soon. The dental practice I used (I believe they are a national chain, happy to PM you details if it would help) were fantastic. I'm so happy with the results and did feel like they actually listened to me. Payments wise, they offered various payments options. They also seemed clued up about diabetes, which really reassured me.
