What I would do is try the first time without my normal dose for getting out of bed and see if the exercise cancels out the rise. Which could well end in going high for a bit, but it would give me very useful information on how to adjust my approach the next day.
You're travelling to a new country so likely you'll need to adjust more things, and likely diabetes will be a bit more work than at home. Time zone change, different foods, different activity levels during the day.
