First of all apologies if i have produced a similar post, but i think i may have messed up when i tried last night as it hasn't appeared!
I have been looking for Holiday Insurance, as my normal annual cover will not cover me for any preexisting medical conditions. Any way got quotes from £66 to £400 that will cover my Coronary Heart disease (10 Stents - last 3 implanted in Jun 2011) and my Type 2 (Diet controlled - so far).
I'm not sure if i can post details of the lowest quote on the forum, but if i can could a mod let me know and i will, or alternatively if any one is interested in the details they can PM me and i'll forward the details.
I have just some, and mine is automactic cover for t2's on one medication, we got cover me with heart conditions , bypass, and copd, missus with 3hips ops and awaiting another, it was £154, can send you the company, in a pm.
Hi,
I just wanted to share the most straightforwarded experience possible on our travel insurance.
We are with Lloyds and we are automaticaly covered for a number of things including travel insurance......................reading the small print there are a number of medical conditions that you have to inform them about...................I must admit even though my husband has had type 2 diabetes for three years I have never informed them(and thankfully never needed to use them) but because he is now using insulin I thought I had better let them know before going on holiday this year and it was that simple!.............I rang them, they asked a few questions.............and he is now covered(at no extra cost!)...........as long as they are aware of the condition then thats it!.............Diabetes now covered BECAUSE I let them know...............if we had gone and not declared it then no cover..............and how much more relaxed I feel now.............
Again hopefully it will never need to be used but for peace of mind this experience has been a real tonic.................hope this can be some help to others?..............all the best,Karen..............
