Hi to all! Hope you're all doing well and excited for spring!

I have a little question... I have a domestic flight to Edinburgh tomorrow and just realised I need a doctors note for my kit. Does anyone know if it's a quick process to get a note?? Has anyone been in this position before ??

I suggest you ring the airline since the flight is imminent. I have a letter but I found there was no problems travelling within the EU. I simply tell them I am diabetic and they don't ask for the letter.
 
I don't have a doctor's letter but I take my current prescription but have never been stopped at airports yet.
 
I fly on a regular basis and have never been questioned about my pump or my kit, I carry a letter just in case but haven't had to use it so you should be ok.

My old letter fell to pieces so the last time (Thursday - long weekend in Bordeaux, 17 C ), I popped a copy of latest test results from hospital with all my details on in my bag and the insulin pen out of the case in the 8 x 8 plastic bag and then back into its case after security. Never been stopped or queried.
 
Ring the airline first. The doctor is unlikely to be able the process the letter so quickly. Take all the documents you have that pertain to illness. You won't be asked by security anyway. Just tell them you are a diabetic and carrying diabetic equipment. You will be fine. Incidentally you will be charged for the doctor's letter - around £20.

better to have it though I suppose

I am a very frequent flier, and have never had a problem. Security occasionally (1 time in 10?) open my medical bag, but are familiar with insulin pens, blood testing equipment etc. There is no need to put your insulin in a separate bag like cosmetics or toothpaste. If you happen to fly to Saudi Arabia (I wouldn't recommend it!), be aware that porcine insulin is illegal.
