Hey! I'm going away next week and I was wondering if anyone had any advice/tips for travelling. This is my first holiday since my diagnosis so I would really appreciate any feedback!! Also, I would really like a few tips on how to pack my medication as I will be flying. Thanks!
Best tip I can give is buy some of these wallets to keep your current pens and spare insulin in. You just soak them in water they are ace ive successfully used them in 35c and as long as you keep them out of the sun they are brill. http://www.friouk.com/
Don't forget to get a letter from you dsn or doctor to say you have t1; you might have to produce it at airport security with hand luggage full of needles and insulin. (Having said that I've never been stopped and I've flown through Heathrow/Sydney/Singapore/Hong Kong with lots of needles and insulin).

Keep your medication in your hand luggage and take a not from your doctor. Make sure all your medication is in a clear plastic bag in your hand luggage, and you should be fine I've never had any troubles, just make sure that you tell the first desk that you have needles and medication in your hand luggage because you have diabetes and you will be fine. Have a great holiday!
