Treasure!!

I dropped in on my daughter and granddaughter this afternoon( lovely baby cuddles!). On the way home, I stopped off at Aldi. I bought boring stuff like brussels, carrots, cabbage, mushrooms and steak, and Christmas cards. but on the way round, I noticed Instant hot chocolate in sachets (4.1 carbs) Energy drinks, for Hypostopping and Macadamia nuts with dried cranberries. With the incredible selection of "specials" it's a fascinating place and loads of potential for diabetic shopping

Lidl is my usual supermarket. good for Macanuts and other nuts, profiteroles,smoked salmon, pork loin, fresh meat and fresh fruit and veggies. Brilliant for delicatessen, laundry products, microfibre cleaning cloths and loo paper. Aldi is on the other side of the hill for me, but convenient after baby cuddle fix. their specials are great value. I got my combi microwave for £65 and a pair of superbe fine leather gloves for £5.99. then of course there are the award winning skin creams at £1.85 a pot, which beat the £100+ ones in a test. They feel nice and since I have few wrinkles at 61, they probably work, unless it's just the fat under my skin :?
