Afraid not Jackie100, and this is only the second time in my life I've actively heard of it.

Many years ago when I was in my early teens, an old uncle suffered from it.
His two middle fingers were curled inwards to such an extent they were pressing
against the palm of his hand.
When I asked him about it he told me it was the pressure of working with heavy
wood planes over many years.
It looked so painful, he told me that some days he was really in a lot of pain.
If I remember correctly, he mentioned it was worse in the cold months of the year.

I sympathise with you and hope you manage to have them treated with a positive outcome.

Hi Jackie, I have trigger finger on the middle two fingers of both hands. I had a cortisol injection done on my right hand, wow that's painful, it didn't sort it. Funnily enough when I began low carbing it seems to calm it down. My right hand is still no better and I wake up with it curled up and it damned well hurts. My cousin had her fingers operated on and to my knowledge it worked for her.
So think its a decision you have to make for yourself.
Personally I would wait but suppose it depends on your age and how you cope with it. During the day my hands aren't too bad.
