Triglycerides off the Scale - Help!!

I was diagnosed with T2 approx 4 weeks ago.
My fasting BG was 13. Blood Pressure normal and cholesterol was 4.2.

I have done a fasting test and on 2 consecutive days they were 6.2 and 6.5, I also did an evening meal + 1 hour test which was 6.5.

When diagnosed my GP said that my triglycerides were high but didnt offer any treatment.
I called the receptionist to ask for her to relate the triglycerides result and to my amasement they were 7.7 !!!! She said that it has been marked as high, as anything over 2 is high.

I am now petrified!!!. Did the GP not offer treatment as she thinks I am a lost cause or is this a situation which I can quickly resolve??.

I have lost a stone on low carb and am eating oily fish!!. Cycling and gymn 1-2 hours per day..

Apparently the HDL/LDL components were part of the cholesterol = 4.2
Triglycerides were presented seperately as 7.7.
I called Lloyds pharmacy to ask for a cholesterol test, but their's is only "indicative" and doesnt break out triglycerides....
Is there anywhere I can get a triglycerides test with fast results?
I am praying that my 4 weeks of no refined sugars, plus a week of oily fish and low carb may be working on the triglycerides as I havent tested for themsince...

My "old" diet contained fruit but not significany amounts. My current low carb allows 1 piece of fruit per day but it must count to my 50g carbs.

Thx for the re-assurance, my GP has given me an advance form for another HBA1C test at the local hospital for the end of June. I hope I dont get into trouble, but I have ticked the boxes for trigs and LDL, HDL, so they will do them at the same time.
