turmeric and warfarin

There is information on the web-site about how turmeric could have a positive effect upon type 2 diabetics. That is true BUT if, for any reason you take anticlotting drugs - e.g. warfarin - BEWARE. There is a significant reaction between warfarin and turmeric. The latter significantly increases the impact of warfarin - resulting in a much increased risk of internal bleeding. Do not take turmeric without the advice of your GP.
