When you exercise, it brings more insulin receptors to the surface of the cell (in a simplistic way) so that you can use glucose more efficiently. Metformin does the exact same thing, it brings extra receptors to the cell'a surface, so you need a smaller dose of insulin.
Me too. In a month since I started to inject my insulin again after many years of not doing so and years of looking like a skinny junkie, I have put on 12kg! and feel much better for it
I'm Type 2 and I have been for 13 years now, (although on my last review/check he said I was type 1) so I'm not totally sure now which I am, I take several pills along side my Insulin I have 2000mg of Metformin a day that's X2 in the morning with my breakfast and X2 in the evening with my evening meal and I have also just been given Lingiliptin to take in the morning as my BS levels had started to rise again I take 56 units or NovaMix 30 insulin of an evening and 54 units in the morning it used to be 48 and 48 years ago lol I found that the metformin has helped stablise my B'S now
