I am curious if anyone knows what happens if a misdiagnosed type 2 is prescribed Repaglinide. Can it cause sugars to stay in the 9 to 10 range and have higher sugars than expected.

Hi @corton, I am unsure what you mean by misdiagnosed Type 2 ? Do you mean they are LADA or type 1 instead?
Just as some information in the meantime, Wikipeadia - repaglinide acts like a sulphonylurea drug.

Sorry, I think I wrote my message wrong. My friend believes that he is misdiagnosed with type 2 and his physician has given him Repaglindine to take and he was wondering if Repaglinide is OK to take. I know people in the forum are not doctors, but a repsonse from a fellow diabetic would help him, I am sure. He is under the impression that Repaglinide is for type 2 only. Does anyone know what happens if a type 1 takes the drug.

I hope this makes more sense than my last post.
