Can I ask 2 questions of Type1 injectors

On average / how many times is it permissable to inject each day ?

When you do inject how many mmols do you inject ?

I know each person is different but it would be interesting to know.

sorry I can’t answer your question but I noticed in an earlier post from you that you’ve been re diagnosed as T1, your about info under your name still says T2 on oral meds.

It would help if you could change this because it makes a great difference to how other members will answer your posts. It will avoid wrong or dangerous advice been given to you

I inject as many times as I need to. Depending on amount of food eaten throughout the day and correction doses. Sometimes 3 sometimes 6/7 Being careful with whatever insulin I have in system. Some meals I split doses. Pizza being one that I do 3 for. As for how much, that will depend on time of day. 3 units to 10 carbs in the morning. 11/2-10 at lunch. And if I eat In the evening which I often don’t 1-10. Some days I have a fair amount of insulin and other days very little. I like to keep things very flexible and enjoy food and life.
 
I now have a pump but when on MDI, I injected as many times as I needed.
This could be once for basal and twice more if I only ate twice and correctly bolused.
It could be 8 times a day if I ate 4 meals and snacked and needed corrections.
I was told there was no maximum number of daily injections.

Again, the maximum daily dose is however much I need to keep my BG within range.
For me this has varied between 15 units and 40 units in total per day.
I am slim, exercise a lot, have no insulin resistance and eat what I want.
 
when my best friend married and we were drinking at her wedding, I made about 20 injections a day for every dish that we were served and for every drink (we were drunk, so I don't remember exactly), but usually it's 4-6 injections a day. I usually inject from 4 to 12 bolus units, most often 6 units at a time (it's okay if you need 1 unit or 100 units, it's really very individual)

As many as needed.
For me, this means two injections for my long acting insulin and 2 to 15 or so injections for my mealtime insulin, but usually around 5 times for this.

We're all different. Some of us only need a couple of units throughout the day, others need a couple of hundred.
So what we need isn't informative for your own needs.
But to answer your question, I inject between 98 and 130 units of basal (long acting) before bed. Bolus (mealtime insulin) can be anything between 1 unit and 20 units at a time, depending on my blood glucose and on what I'm about to eat.

I hope you don't mind if I ask. Due to what is such a big difference in doses achieved? Judging by the dose of basal, you have quite a large resistance to insulin, but judging by the doses of bolus, the resistance is small. I've never been able to inject less than 3 units even if I eat scrambled eggs
 
I take 6 units basal insulin once a day. My bolus dose depends on how many carbs I will eat. I eat about 70 carbs a day. My bolus dose varies between 8 units and 2 units. My insulin to carb ratio also varies, due to time of day and how I feel.
 
I usually have 1 long acting insulin in the morning of 15 units. Then usually 3 more through the day of fast acting. My ratios are 5 morning, 10 lunchtime and 12 evening. So if I have 30 carbs at breakfast I have 6 units of insulin, if I have 30 carbs at lunchtime I have 3 units insulin. 30 carbs at dinner time and I have 2 to 3 units insulin. My main meal in the evening is often 50 to 70 carbs. I have only been diabetic since April 2022 so still lots to learn. I have no pancreas and am finding keeping my BG in range VERY difficult.
 
Mostly low carb eating, but not always.
The 1 unit doesn't happen often, but sometimes I only take 1 unit if I see a very slow and steady rise on a day I need less insulin than usual (happens before my period). The higher end of the scale is for things like hotel breakfasts (happens once a year) with croissants and fresh bread and stuff, or at christmas, or tomorrow when I'll be having lunch with my aunt and her partner and we'll be eating 'bitterballen'. It's a nightmare to dose for, but I'll have all afternoon to get it right again.
 
I'm late, sorry:

Basal: 2 doses, 2x9U
Bolus: between 5 and 10 injections/day, depending on what I'm doing and what I'm eating, total of 23.6U on average (from Tidepool)
257g carbs per day on average (from Tidepool)
