Hey all.
I was misdiagnosed type 2 years ago but changed to late onset type 1 after some more tests. I have beenlate onset type 1 for a good 6 years. I had a review with a new diabeties specialist and she said she thinks I'm type 2. I had some tests and the results were c-peptide 10.35
ZNT8 Ab 74.9
She has told me I'm now type 2 but I'm not sure if I need a second opinion?

Do you know what the reference range for the C-peptide is, or what units were used?
When did you have the C-peptide tested?
I was always told that diabetes plus positive antibodies means T1, can you ask the specialist what makes her think you're not?
Is this specialist an endocrinologist or another type of doctor?
I thought there were two different tests GAD and c-peptide. Positive GAD antibodies implied Type 1, but high levels of c-peptides levels means you are producing a lot of insulin and hence unlikely to be Type 1.
