Type 2 Complications

Hi, new on here so excuse long post! My husband has recently been diagnosed with type 2 but is still in denial. His first blood test was 122! He originally went to the doctors with a nagging pain near gall bladder/pancreas area which is when blood tests diagnosed. He was put on Metformin and referred to another consultant for the pain. Over 3 months this has got worse to the point of him being in dreadful pain, especially at night to the point of nearly collapsing, a hard stabbing pain that makes him cry out. After 2 CT/Ultrasound/endoscopy and colonoscopy all being clear it's just as bad. Has anyone else suffered like this? I read yesterday about nerve damage to that area due to diabetes and all his symptoms correspond down to even the bedsheets being painful if they touch (and clothing during the day) and it's possible acupuncture can help with this pain. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and what they did.
Thanks in advance!

My greatest sympathies to you and your husband. I hope the source of the pain is found soon. In the meantime I hope the doctor can give him powerful pain medication.

@JAT1 Thank you for responding. At least there looks like an end to the tunnel, will post when we have tried the acupuncture. The worse part as always is not knowing.
