Type 2 diabetes and on metformin

I’ve been on metformin 500 mg 2x a day for over a year. My sugar hasn’t improved my drs don’t want to change meds, when I was in hospital they gave me insulin. I’ve been extremely thirsty lately and have headaches everyday. Do you think I should seek 2nd opinion about insulin?
 
Hi @Mburks89 it must be very frustrating for you. Have you changed your diet since you were diagnosed? Unfortunately Metformin is only there to help with type 2 and isn’t a cure alone for reducing BG numbers. If you search the forums here a lot of members are eating low carb to lower there BG levels.
What do you eat I a typical day?
