Hi just wondered if anyone thinks I should go the doctors about this. I have been diagnosed type 2 diabetes (on 2000 mg metformin per day) a few months ago - I turned my ankle yesterday it was quite painful. Today it is very bruised and swollen but not as painful as yesterday, but my skin itches - I know we are told to watch our feet! should I see how it goes or try to see doctor? Thoughts would be appreciated.
I would have to say get it looked at by your GP or A&E .. the misses thought she sprained her ankle a few years back, but it was a few small bones broken in it ...

I had the same problem some months ago, and I thought it was due to diabetes edema. It was actually due to a tight fitting shoe. Because I resist going to my doctor unless it is very serious,, I used a tight elastic and tried not to walk on it. In about 2 weeks I recovered. However, I would follow your self care and go to your doctor.
Cheers.
