Not true, I'm not on meds and I'm diabetic. I have it under control with diet alone. Keep your chin up and God bless you.Sitting in walk-in clinic this morning with hubby waiting to see doctor to renew his Rx for high blood pressure, we start talking about diabetes and I mention I'm glad I don't need meds ... and he says "if you're not taking insulin, you're not really diabetic". I was left speechless! (bangs head x3)
Thank you John. I guess no one really understands unless they've walked a mile in your shoes.Well I'm stumped I can't think of anything to say that would not be a little insulting to your hubby. So I will just say, you have my deepest sympathy and leave it at that.
I bet he knows more than you think. You know how some men don't make a fuss and are very acceptant. He will know about the depression for sure. He may not want to upset you or make you cry so doesn't go there. It can be tough for them too.Thankfully I didn't have thrush but I remember being absolutely miserable with depression. All my parents knew about was type 1 which my father had; they essentially ignored my type 2. So 5 years later I was out on my own, which is when I met the hubby, and I was feeding myself by then and feeling better. So to him, I've only really been talking about the complications since they've worsened the last 5 years or so.
