Hi guys I am new to the forum but lived with diabetes type 2 for 5-6 years. I have managed to go in remission a few times but even so i slip back and I end up getting symptoms back. Like going really hot after eating and sweats and exhaustion as well. Usually stress is my main thing that brings on the complications and they come and go randomly sometimes last a few days then like magic just disappear. I get cramps in my legs and gout a few times a year as well. My teeth and gums get really bad I brush three times a day and use mouth wash to no avail have a few loose teeth and gum disease. Can anyone else tell me if they have had similar issues and how did you deal with it please ??

Hello welcome!
I’m sorry to hear about your current situation. There are many T2s on this forum who would gladly support you and help you.
What’s your diet like? What have you been eating and have you been testing your blood sugars?
For your teeth, I’d urge you to see your dentist asap & be referred to see a hygienist. In the mean time, make sure your tooth brush is soft-medium bristles, try and get tepe brushes or dental floss to really get inbetween your gum line and rinse with warm salty water which is anti bacterial and takes the edge off the pain. However if you can get your diabetes under control through better food choices and testing frequently, it’ll help your dental situation. Bacteria and high blood readings love a place to thrive in and your mouth is one of them.
