6.6 this morning... in my defence our plane started to take off at 11.30 last night and then aborted the take off... after a lengthy stay on the ground, which was improved by champagne while we waited... I waved my son goodbye as he carried on to the UK and I finally got into bed around 2.30am and was up again at 5.45 with the animals.... and a mosquito in the bed with me, full of my blood... hak.... now a dead mosquito...
Brilliant...

You'll love it... Have a blast...

Hopefully all will be plain sailing for you from now on... You've had a whale of a time, moving house, decorating etc... give yourself a break... your numbers are still really good...

You may not like this...take a tablespoon of coconut oil before bed. That'll fix you.
I put mine into my hot chocolate and make it Bullet Chocolate.. and almond butter too... lush...

Fasting - very late again today: 7.2
... and staying pretty flat and highish again

I was going to post to say you'd invented a tasty rival to the bullet proof coffee!

But to put your almond butter into it too - that is the ultimate sacrilege as almond butter is far more luxurious savoured neat.

I'm planning to do a simultaneous test when they do a random test (using a meter, not venous this time) with my SD Code Free just out of interest.

What meter are you using?

Pasha - I know, from personal experience, that my body doesn't perform to its optimal potential on very, very few carbs. I didn't keep the experiment up as long as you did, but my numbers crept up a tiny margin. I have no idea if it was the additional proportional protein, or additional fat, but just increasing carbs a bit definitely brings me better results, and I find my enjoyment of food is better.

The numbers aren't important, and their omission is deliberate on my part.

AndBreathe,

I really cant understand your attitude, although of course you are perfectly within your rights to with hold any details you wish.

I always remember when I started out with all this LCHF business, that I was very grateful to anybody who shared his/her results freely. It gave me a great sense of where I stood ,and perhaps what changes I could make to improve my situation.

We here are a mixed bunch, some old hands with great knowledge, and quite a lot of new comers desperate to get a handle on the new challenges that lie ahead of them after their diagnosis. Surely they learn or benefit from many of the posts and the details that members freely share.

I know that I feel great if somebody can even a tiny bit benefit from any help that I can offer, thats why I include details of results, to illustrate or prevent ambiguity.

We are after all just pixels on a screen, what can be so personal that it cannot be shared here.

I write this because once, I asked you what you ate to get your good results, you said it was too personal to post. Thats OK its your right, but I just wanted to tell you that I find your way a bit negative .

I eat nuts, Brazil's, hazels, almonds...at bedtime ...peanuts don't keep it so low but all my 4s are post nuts. didn't work for @Susikav tho...
It did not... But I have a sinus infection don't forget, so when I've finished the anti-bugs (and chicken soup!) and I'm better, I will try again... but I shall still put almond butter or peanut butter in my hot chocolate...

Hopefully all will be plain sailing for you from now on... You've had a whale of a time, moving house, decorating etc... give yourself a break... your numbers are still really good...
Thanks susikav it has been a rollercoaster these last few weeks not only with moving but the loss of my mother in law, hubby's heart playing up and my boss not happy but hopefully things should be on a more even keel now

Some nuts are higher in carbs than others; cashews for example. Nuts are also high in protein and I read somewhere that 58% of protein mass gets converted to glucose, albeit more slowly than straight carbs.

8.8 fasting

Can I just say that you don't seem to provide much information apart from your numbers. Therefore I don't really see the point? Not meaning to be rude at all but I have politely asked you a few questions but had very little feedback. I personally like the way we all muck-in and help each other through examples.

Up at 6.00 am fasting was 7.3
Breakfast at 7.00 bs down to 5.5
Pre lunch 5.0
Pre dinner 5.8
Post dinner 5.0
Happy with that
