5.5 this morning . After a naughty day yesterday I feel quite pleased with that. Had a bit of everything but only a small piece so portion control for me is the answer !

Fasting count this morning 106 mg/dl or 5,88 mmol/l, which I will happily take on a Boxing Day!

Down to 98mg/dl or 5,44 by the end of a 6,5km solitary walk in the morning sunshine.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Also went for small portions yesterday, the problem was though that portions kept following each other and with a house full of people all day, I seemed to have spent most of it munching away on one thing or other!

It's only once a year though and no real harm done, I hope!

4.6 again this morning two days on the trot.....ONLY THING i HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY MY WALKS HAVE BEEN 3 MILES AND 4 MILES UP FROM MY USUAL 2 MILES! and double the number of steps running. LOVING IT

9.3 this morning, up from 8.0 yesterday, as I enter my third week since diagnosis. I kind of wish I'd given myself a day off the diet, because I eat and drank more than I intended - not terrible, but not as good as I'd intended. Instead of a day off I'm a little guilty that I deviated from the plan.

Oh well, we have to forgive ourselves the odd slip and move forward. There will be more temptation today, but I'm determined to hold firm.

8.8 this morning. Feeling a little unwell from my over indulgences yesterday...too much red wine will do that. Hope you all had an amazing time with your friends and family...

5.7 for me this morning. Had platter of cheese and oatcakes for supper. Found yesterday that Thornton's diabetic chocs and Milk Tray have only 2gs less carbs between them. Ate 6 in the whole day
Edit#
That's not between each choc but per 100gs

5.2 first test since 23/12 so happy enough with that being in my normal range.

Not worrying about what might have been on 24/25th, the pleasure I have got out of being with family
& friends over Christmas more than makes up for any slightly higher reading I might have had.

But back to it today and looking forward to the footie this afternoon.

Have a brilliant rest of the festive break.

Keep well.

Very stressful. Glad he and you are both ok. One of our feed reps had something similar many years ago and ended up in hospital - he was a fit , young man but whatever virus he had had infected his heart. Fine now but it was quite a shock as will your experience have been. Try and relax and enjoy rest of the festive season xx

6.3 here - very late high protein supper and then a very long fast as we have all slept in. Going to have to look at tweaking things as I want to lower my fasting but also want to come off Metformin as it is no longer agreeing with me in other ways.
