5.6 for me this morning and just ONE slice of homemade bread in toaster today. My only 8, nearly 9 of Xmas caused by two slices. Put 2lbs on but chocs all gone now. Eating them in 3s didn't spike me but won't be buying any all the same
Happy New Year Jan and the dogs. Hope they have calmed down now with the fireworks last night.

Often wondered about this. Competition? Keeping up? ...... kids learning way TOO much and too soon? Just how do we apply our generation's laid back attitude to life in the absence of today's dumb reliance on social media. Just a thought

Happy New Year. Yes, thankfully tho with there being fireworks on and if all evening the one I worry most about as he's got heart problems just ate his treats, pottered around gdn then rolled over for belly rub!! He did bark at a few around 2am. One if my old girls didn't hear us get up and open door this morning - she's used to getting her sleep from around 10pm

More about lucy being more the sensible, quiet one not full of attitude, make up, back combed hair with a different boyfriend every week! I know which I prefer of course and am very proud of her. I had an awful time at secondary school back in the day and try to reassure her that the way I am now, confident, determined and take no c**p all comes from those days, so I'm hopeful she will come out of this the same eventually. It doesn't help her that she's fretting over the physical symptoms so I think if they can rule out what it isn't that will start to ease too .

Yes Kim, it is a learning process. I do not worry about much these days, am confident and outgoing as people have commented. Relaxation tapes, creature comforts and a positive attitude help me. As you know I have escaped by the skin of my teeth from the ICU twice and have found a reason to appreciate life. Youngsters are vulnerable when suffering depression and lack the life experience of adults and are just learning how to cope with life especially today's rat race.

Understand Kimbo. Life is not a contest, nor is it a trial unless you make it that way. It's a journey, a walk only we can take. Mystery, danger and wonder await and what you make of it, how you react to it and how you tackle it is up to you.

Had my heart broken a thousand times, afraid to talk to females until I was in my REALLY late teens, scared of rejection and used bravado to cover the lot. That is life. That was me. This is her.

Protection, comfort and security. So it is from the chrysalis to the butterfly. I wish her well. I wish her comfort and above all I wish her a peace and confidence within herself she can soon live with

Mike

Hope you feel better soon. Take it easy.

Hope you are well again soon. Don't do too much x

7.5 (first morning test I have done) after 10 hours sleep

Last nights post-meal test was 6.5

The last fasting test I have results for was my blood test (pre-diagnosis) and that was 16, so I consider this to be a good number so far

Am not doing much curled up under duvet on settee in front of telly. Drinking hot no added sugar vimto.

Hope you feel better soon.

4.9 this morning. Happy new year to everyone. Hope 2015 brings everything that you desire.
