Bit of both Brunn The mother coming out in you. The pup won't forget it. Did you give the new one a run B4 bed ?

6.2 this morning - I had a houseful yesterday with 16 guests so had a buffet with a mix of low and high carbs and, whilst I was able to resist the most of the high carb foods, pavlova and cheesecake, the fruit salad got me! In addition supper at 10.00 was a brown roll with turkey and lettuce, a couple of crisps and the rest of the fruit salad and cream. Reading before was 5.9 which was a nice surprise but didn't test before I went to bed but I bet it wasn't good

Oh yes, our poop and widdle trips are like a well oiled machine.

I think this morning, it was just the noisy bin men outside on the street (collecting today, bless 'em!) set off the 'I wanna get up' squeaking. Which meant whining and hopping about - which started the 'I wanna poo!' Movement...

3.9 for me this morning.

My major problem at the moment is I haven't a clue what day of the week it is! Every day feels like a Sunday, so I'll probably be better when Sunday is actually here.

Hey ho. If that's the worst of my problems, it surely signals life could be a lot worse on Planet Breathe.

Well that's not odd given the routine. She's so young so 1 + 1 = 3 in her head.

4.7 a restless night, back to planet T2 again from today, what testing I completed over festive season has been acceptable for me.

I trust everyone had a great time.

7.2 this morning been up most of the night with chest. Bad news guys had nasty asthma attack yesterday now in hospital :-( so posts might not be great.
Aw Loulou, not the start anyone would want for New Year. Hope you're feeling better soon and up and home in no time xx

5.7 this morning after a decent sleep despite the wind. Still a bit breezy out there but I have to brave it later as want a few bits for junior to take back to uni on Sunday.

7.2 this am - went to bed at 7pm last eve real sore throat and coughing hoping today it will go away
Hope you feel better soon, Patsy. I was awake most of last night coughing. I was also up to the loo a couple of times, which is odd for me. Took my bg each time to check I was not running high. Here are the results:

11:45 bedtime - 5.2
3:15 loo - 4.8
6:50 loo - 6.4
9:15 after some sleep - 5.9

At 6:50 I was so exasperated that I googled for help and found an old thread on this forum suggesting that if I cut up a raw onion and put it at the side of my bed, the onions vapours would soothe my cough. It worked!! No kidding

Mum used to do that when we were kids. Totally forgotten about it

Thank you. I don't post here often as I find my dawn phenomenon demoralising. Have been taking milk thistle before bed to see if it helps. Not sure yet if it does.
It's the hardest thing to control though isn't it. Think its @miked who's been experimenting with post evening meal exercise. Wth me the lower I go to bed the higher the fasting seems to be. Tho being prediabetic fasting levels aren't horrendous
Let us know how the milk thistle works out. Am all for natural remedies

So its not something that should give you a figure between x and y (being numbers 15% above and below a centre line z). Put that way, yes, I guess it is useless........

@Sable_Jan to me it would only be useful if the solution was specified as having an equivalent BG of (say) 6.2 mmol/l, then you could routinely check your meter for accuracy and drift. But they say they can't manufacture such a solution and guarantee its consistency when packaged into very small bottles. I can understand why the meter accuracy is limited though, it works by reaction between your blood and some enzymes embedded in the sample slot on the strip and the electronic manifestation of that reaction. From that point of view I think we should be grateful that we have something as cheap as it is that is capable of getting within 10% most of the time.

Anyway, 5.4 here this morning, happy with that.
